Screwdriver bits

Screwdriver bits, also known as bits or blades, are tools that, when combined with a 1/4" hexagon socket handle, a screwdriver handle or a power tool holder, form one coherent tool ready for use. Durability when screwing in various types of screws and bolts is achieved by using high-strength chrome vanadium steel or molybdenum steel and hardening to a hardness of 56-60 HRC.

We start the selection of the type of bit by determining the type of socket used in the screws we will be working with. We then determine the bit's working conditions, i.e. which tools or equipment it will work with and in which material. It is also necessary to determine its intended use - whether it is to be used for batch or unit work. Very hard bits should be used for soft materials such as wood, while bits with a torsion zone should be used for metal materials.

The use of a blade with the right material properties has a significant impact on the behaviour of the bit in the screw socket. By using the right blade, the risk of the bit breaking and the screwdriver socket becoming chipped is eliminated.
