Paint brushes

PROLINE precision-manufactured, robust brushes and rollers are indispensable for painting large and small surfaces, both for professionals and ambitious amateurs. They enable you to achieve the desired effect quickly and easily. When choosing tools for painting, you should pay attention to three basic factors that most determine the product you should use - the size of the surface to be painted, the type of paint and the type (structure) of the substrate.
Size of the surface:
For painting large surfaces such as walls or ceilings, rollers with a length of 180 to 250 mm are mainly recommended, as they allow a large amount of paint to be picked up in one go and enable the painted surface to be covered quickly and evenly. For smaller, flat surfaces, 100 mm rollers are much more suitable, as they make it easier to paint window recesses, for example, without using up too much paint.

Substrate and type of paint:
The paint or varnish should be selected according to the type of surface to be painted and the effect you want to achieve. Manufacturers of paints and varnishes provide precise information on their packaging about their products, their intended use and recommended painting tools. In the absence of such information, it is useful to know how to choose the right tool. Brushes - when choosing a brush for painting, pay particular attention to the bristles, which are the key element of the brush. Brushes with natural bristles are designed for lacquers and solvent-based paints, brushes with synthetic bristles for waterborne paints, and brushes with mixed bristles for both waterborne and
mixed bristle brushes for both waterborne paints and oil-based paints, varnishes. Rollers - the height of the fleece should be chosen according to the structure of the surface to be painted. A short fleece is much more suitable for very smooth surfaces, such as gypsum plaster. The more structured and porous the surface, the longer the roller should be, and for this reason rollers with a very long pile are recommended for facades. The material (covering) from which the roller is made is also important. The purpose of all PROLINE rollers is shown in the table above.

Before starting work, consider buying painting accessories to make the job easier and quicker, so that painting becomes a pleasure rather than a sad chore. It is a good idea to equip yourself with a suitably sized paint tray and grid, a telescopic stick for rollers to increase the range of movement, as well as painter's tape and foil to avoid dirt from the work or to save time cleaning up afterwards.
